Expression of Interest: TSANZ Joint Annual Scientific Meeting Convenors 2025
On behalf of the TSANZ Board and SPEC, we would like to offer an exciting opportunity for two interested members to nominate for the position of joint Annual Scientific Meeting convenor for 2025 (to be held at the National Convention Centre Canberra).
As co-convenor, you'll have the opportunity to work closely with and be supported by members of SPEC and to assist in designing the ASM program and networking sessions.
Interested applicants are invited to submit an expression of interest, with a brief 1-page outline of your research and clinical expertise, past involvement in TSANZ, along with prior experiences with education and conference organisations. Expression of Interest: TSANZ Living Kidney Donation Clinical Working Group Members
Introduction:
The Transplantation Society of Australia and New Zealand (TSANZ), with support from the Organ and Tissue Authority (OTA), is pleased to announce the formation of the Living Kidney Donation Clinical Working Group.
The committee will be comprised of clinicians with expertise in living kidney donation. The group will play a pivotal role in enhancing clinical practices, policy development and research related to living kidney donation.
Purpose:
The Living Kidney Donation Clinical Working Group aims to:
Promote best practices in living kidney donation.
Develop guidelines and policies to improve donor and recipient outcomes.
Facilitate research and innovation in living donor transplantation.
Foster collaboration among professionals and patient representative groups with an interest in the field.
Roles and Expertise:
We are seeking expressions of interest from clinicians with diverse expertise including:
Nephrologists with a role in the referral and follow-up of living kidney donors and recipients
Transplant Physicians
Transplant Surgeons – donor and recipient
Transplantation and living donation Coordinators
Social workers, psychologists or psychiatrists specialising in donor/recipient counselling
Nurses and Allied Health Professionals with transplant and living donor experience
Ethicists with an interest in living kidney donation

Introduction:
The Transplantation Society of Australia and New Zealand (TSANZ) is seeking expressions of interest from dedicated professionals to join its Finance Committee. We are particularly interested in individuals with experience in securing sponsorships and donations to support our mission and activities.
About TSANZ:
TSANZ is the leading professional body for transplantation in Australia and New Zealand, dedicated to promoting and encouraging the highest standards of clinical practice and research in transplantation. Our Finance Committee plays a crucial role in ensuring the financial sustainability and growth of the Society.
Role and Responsibilities:
As a member of the TSANZ Finance Committee, you will:
· Participate in the development and implementation of financial strategies.
· Identify and engage potential sponsors and donors to support TSANZ’s initiatives.
· Assist in preparing and reviewing financial reports and budgets.
· Collaborate with other committee members to ensure the effective financial management of the Society.
· Provide advice and recommendations on financial matters to the TSANZ Board.
Qualifications and Experience:
We are seeking individuals with the following skills:

· Experience in financial management, fundraising, or a related field.
· Strong networking and communication skills.
· Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.

· The committee meets quarterly with additional meetings as needed.

Expression of Interest: TSANZ Representative for the Transplant Australia Play Well Participation Grant Steering Group
About the Play Well Participation Grant Program
The Program is supported by the Commonwealth Australian Sports Commission by investing in new programs that address the barriers to participation and increase involvement in sport and physical activity. The objectives of the Program are to support organisations to contribute to the following priorities:
Increase involvement in sport and physical activity through the provision of inclusive and quality sport and physical activity experiences, and
Address the barriers to sport and physical activity and provide more opportunities to be involved in sport and physical activity programs for those in the community who face the most barriers.
Eligibility Criteria
We are seeking a TSANZ member who:
Demonstrates a commitment to improving the quality of life for transplant recipients.
Possesses excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Can commit to regular meetings and active participation in the steering group.

The ANZDATA Registry provides data collection, analysis and reporting in the area of renal replacement therapy (dialysis and transplantation) and organ and tissue donation for Australia and New Zealand. Its fundamental purpose is to report on the incidence, prevalence and outcomes of dialysis and transplant treatment for patients with end stage renal disease.
The Epidemiology Fellow will be responsible for the completion of analyses and projects based on data from the ANZDATA Registry. This position will play a pivotal role in providing medical/scientific input into Registry operations, in particular to increase clinical epidemiology capacity with Australia and New Zealand, enrich quality assurance through the use of data.
This position will be available for commencement in February 2025.

Nurse Practitioner General Member
Members of the nurse practitioner community are invited to join the Haemodialysis and Peritoneal Dialysis working groups through the Expression of Interest process. Members are selected to provide a range of skills including leadership, sub-specialty expertise, registry data analysis and teamwork with the aim of ANZDATA-based research to maximise the scientific output of ANZDATA, and to continually review the scientific basis of data collection.
The Working Group will have a role in providing advice to the ANZDATA Executive and operations around
Annual review of data items captured by the ANZDATA survey relevant to their area
Promotion and utilisation of ANZDATA data:
Generation of research ideas/data analysis/publication and presentations
Fielding queries/applications/suggestions for research from ANZDATA contributors outside the working group and, where deemed appropriate, facilitating such research
whether that be carried out by the persons making the request, by the working group, or by a combination of the two.
